Drops Andes - Navy Blue (6990) - 100g - Product Description

Drops Andes is spun from two strands in a traditional combination of 65% wool and 35% alpaca. This mixture brings out the alpaca silky surface, while the wool helps garments keep better shape stability. The fibres are untreated, which means they are not exposed to any chemical treatment prior to being dyed. This highlights the fibres' natural properties, while also providing better shape and texture quality. Drops Andes is very easy to work with thick needles and hooks, and it is ideal for felting.

Drops Andes is available in over 30 different shades, some of which are mixed colours, which means the wool is manufactured by carding the colours together before spinning. As one of the largest stockists of Drops yarn in the UK, we stock every single colour and shade of Andes yarn that Drops produce. The chances are that if there's a shade of Drops Andes that we don't have, it is because Drops have stopped making it! Supplied in 100g balls, Drops Andes knits to a gauge of 10 stitches over 14 rows on 9mm needles, and there are approximately 90m / 98yds in every 100g ball.

Drops offer thousands of free patterns, covering their entire range of yarns, all of which are available to download and print out for free from the Garnstudio website - Garnstudio are the manufacturers of Drops yarn. We also stock the range of Drops Magazines, which contain between 20 and 50 patterns in each, and are priced at just £1 per magazine. Most people find that buying the magazines is cheaper than the ink and paper needed to print them out from the Drops website!

You can find details of all the free patterns made specifically in Drops Andes yarn by visiting the Drops Andes pattern section of the Garnstudio website.
