Malabrigo Dos Tierras - Purpuras (872) - 100g - Product Description
Dos Tierras means Two Lands, reflecting the sources of the two amazing fibres found in this ultra-soft yarn. By spinning together their fine Uruguayan Merino wool with baby alpaca from Peru, Malabrigo have created a DK weight yarn that is as versatile as it is beautiful. And when the good stitch definition and drape of this 4 ply yarn is combined with the amazing kettle-dyed semi-solid and variegated colours Malabrigo offer, you have the perfect palette to help show off your stitch work.
All Malabrigo yarns are kettle dyed in small batches and often don't have a dye lot, which means the colours are likely to vary from skein to skein, even within the same batch. To ensure random colour distribution, try working from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball. Be sure to get enough yarn to complete your project as the next batch we receive could be very different!
Due to differences in dye distribution between batches, it is not possible for us to update our product images to match current mixes exactly, and the images shown may not match the yarn you receive.
Please note: This yarn is supplied in a hank which requires winding before use. Attempts to use this yarn from the hank, rather than from a ball, will result in tangles, knots, and frustration!
