Welcome to the Miope Blanket, Pastels Colourway from Kathryn Middleton of Amy J Designs!
Kathryn says: " Miope is a square blanket worked in double knit to a tension of approximately 20dc (US) to 10m with a 4mm hook. Those of you who joined me for my other blanket CALS will know that I am a Yorkshire lass born and bred, although now living over the border in Derbyshire, and I am channelling the same vibes again here with Miope.
The world has been through some pretty unsettling times over the last 12 months or so (2020), and we seem to have spent so much time in limbo waiting for "normal" life to resume. My hope was that is would be all over by the summer but that wasn't to be. Then my hope was for a usual Christmas and that wasn't to be either. At the time of writing this (22 March 2021), England is still in strict lockdown and my hope is that the measures proposed by our government will actually happen and we can get on with living our lives. I've been hoping a lot over the last 12 months and I'm hoping that you have now worked out why this design is called Miope? Let me help you out if you're not quite there...ready...think Sean Bean again - my hope becomes Miope!"
This yarn pack contains 20 balls of Stylecraft Special DK in the following shades and quantities:
- 3 x Stylecraft Special DK - Lincoln (1834) - 100g
- 2 x Stylecraft Special DK - Buttermilk (1835) - 100g
- 3 x Stylecraft Special DK - Duck Egg (1820) - 100g
- 2 x Stylecraft Special DK - Grape (1067) - 100g
- 3 x Stylecraft Special DK - Pale Rose (1080) - 100g
- 4 x Stylecraft Special DK - Parchment (1218) - 100g
- 3 x Stylecraft Special DK - Fuchsia Purple (1827) - 100g
You will also need a 4mm crochet hook. The finished blanket will measure approximately 160cm (63 inches) square and the yarn pack quantities given are for this size.

Please also note: Pack quantities are given for the project when worked to the tension stated in the pattern. If a different hook is used, or your tension differs from the designer's, additional yarn may be required.
