Wrapped in Jamie is inspired by the story of Jamie and Claire Fraser, known as the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. It is the story of a woman (Claire) who accidentally falls through time in a stone circle on a belated honeymoon with her husband in Scotland. Now, 202 years earlier, she meets Jamie, a young Highlander whom she falls in love with as they experience many adventures and challenges.

The first Season of the Wrapped In Jamie CAL is a translation of Jamie’s timeline and his life until he meets Claire in 1743 into a pattern.

"One day I was working on a crochet project while listening to the audible version of the books (read by the fabulous Davina Porter, who really brings the story alive through her tone of voice, the character interpretation and the accents). Inspired by a particularly intense moment, I imagined what this story would look like if it was told in crochet pattern and voilà, the idea for the Outlander Pattern Collection was born. Wrapped In Jamie is Part 1 in this collection. It is about events in Jamie’s life before he meets Claire."

The Wrapped In Jamie CAL took place in September of 2019 and consisted of 12 squares that were revealed weekly. All info can be found on www.blacksheepcrochet.com.

The idea for this project is to create an item you can wrap yourself in - hence Wrapped in Jamie. Everything is provided in the pattern to give you several different options. You can make a square or rectangular blanket, a long scarf, a triangular shawl or a plaid-like throw.

There are 3 Seasons overall for this CAL:

Season 1 - 12 squares
Season 2 - the big Claire Square (as big as 4 normal squares), another 8 squares plus 3 triangle options to fill in gaps for some projects.
Season 3 - putting it together with 3 border options that are adjustable for different project.

This pack contains 18 balls of Drops Baby Merino (50g), a 100% wool yarn, in the following shades:
