A beautifully soft, high-quality wadding/batting, the Hobbs Heirloom range is the perfect choice for your future family quilt! Made from 100% light and breatheable cotton that is best suited to machine sewing.

Hobbs Heirloom Natural 100% Cotton wadding/batting should be used with medium or dark fabrics. If used with white or light-coloured fabrics, unbleached cotton can slightly darken white and light or pastel colors. We recommend quilters test this batting with their chosen fabric(s) to see if ‘darkening’ will be an issue.

We do not recommend machine washing your wadding before use. If you wish to avoid the vintage-style puckering of your fabric, you may be able to very gently hand wash your wadding, but please bear in mind that this can stretch out the fibres and cause areas of uneven thickness. Many people prefer the wrinkled look as it gives your project a more antique feel!
