An exceptional cotton and polyester blend, this versatile wadding/batting is often the preferred choice for beginners and practiced crafters alike. With all the softness and breathability of cotton, the Hobbs Heirloom Premium Cotton Blend wadding/batting is much lighter than its 100% cotton counterpart, and has added durability thanks to the polyester content. With an additional water-soluble, fusing medium applied to both sides of the wadding/batting, you can gently stick your wadding/batting to your desired fabric without the need for basting.

Hobbs Heirloom Premium Cotton Blend wadding/batting should be used with medium or dark fabrics. If used with light coloured fabrics, unbleached cotton can slightly darken white and light or pastel colors.

As the fusing medium is water soluble, we do not recommend pre-washing your wadding/batting. To fuse fabrics, set your iron to the appropriate temperature for your main fabric and press each area of the quilt, working from the center of the project to the outer edges. It’s important that you don’t move the iron - you are pressing, not ironing. Please ensure that your iron is dry with no steam as any moisture will prevent the wadding/ batting from sticking.
