Drops Merino Extra Fine is a beautifully soft 100% merino wool yarn, which is perfect for everyday use. Cable spun from 100% merino wool fibres (19.5 micron) from free-range animals in South Africa and South America, the Drops Merino Extra Fine range includes both solid and heathered colours. Superwash treated and machine washable, Merino Extra Fine has a luxurious finished texture and is gentle on the skin, making it perfect for baby and children’s garments. Also ideal for textured patterns, such as cables and seed stitch, Merino Extra Fine's special construction is made by spinning multiple thin strands together, giving it extra elasticity. This means that it's very important to use the correct tension with this yarn, in order to avoid the garments stretching - we generally recommend working more tightly, rather than loosely, with this yarn.
