Welcome to the "Crochet Now" Crochet-Along (CAL) for 2024 - the Pura Vida Blanket, designed by Eleanora Tulley of Coastal Crochet!

Eleonora says:  "Simply translated, pura vida means pure life in Spanish!  Pura vida is the Costa Rican version of that laid-back, everything's cool philosophy!  My son spent three months volunteering in Costa Rica in 2022 and helped with work to maintain parts of the beautiful forests.  Hugely inspired by his travels, the photos he sent hom and the stories he told, this blanket will capture some of that pure vida beauty!

The mix of colours chosen captures the vibrant colours of the jungle, the colours of the coast and the colours inspired by some of the wonderful exotic wildlife."

This yarn pack contains 23 balls of Scheepjes Catona in the following shades and quantities:

• 3 x Scheepjes Catona - Apple Green (389) - 50g
• 3 x Scheepjes Catona - Emerald (515) - 50g
• 2 x Scheepjes Catona - Apple Granny (513) - 50g
• 2 x Scheepjes Catona - Chocolate (507) - 50g
• 2 x Scheepjes Catona - Vivid Blue (146) - 50g
• 2 x Scheepjes Catona - Lemon (280) - 50g
• 2 x Scheepjes Catona - Blubell (173) - 50g
• 2 x Scheepjes Catona - Caramel (506) - 50g
• 1 x Scheepjes Catona - Poppy Rose (390) - 50g
• 4 x Scheepjes Catona - Kiwi (205) - 50g

You will also need a 3.5mm (US size D/4) crochet hook.

Tension: 19 sts x 11 rows = 10 x 10cm measured over tr using 3.50mm hook and 4-ply yarn.

The blanket will measure approximately 85cm x 115cm.

Please also note: Pack quantities are given for the project when worked to the tension stated in the pattern.  If a different hook is used, or your tension differs from the designer's, additional yarn may be required.
