In 2013 Jane designed a project for her crochet club using Persian and Moroccan textiles and architecture as her inspiration. It is a theme she wanted to revisit though, as the colours and shapes work so well in crochet and Jane was constantly asked for a project that echoed the original design.

This blanket is simpler in construction than the original crochet club project and there are just four different motifs within the design; the main octagon piece, of which you need to make sixteen, is surrounded by variations on granny squares and triangles in shades of blue and cream. The project is relatively simple to make and Jane really enjoyed designing it!

This pack contains 12 balls of Stylecraft Life DK (100g). a wool-acrylic mix, in the following shades and quantities:

• 2 x Cream (2305)
• 2 x Teal (2416)
• 1 x Aqua (2357)
• 1 x Cardinal (2306)
• 1 x Daffodil (2394)
• 1 x Copper (2312)

You will also need 3.50mm and 4.00mm crochet hooks.
