To commemorate the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, Sirdar has commissioned a Coronation Keepsake Blanket Crochet Along from madebyanita.

Celebrating aspects of King Charles’ life and the regalia of the coronation, you'll progress from simple granny squares through colours, stitches and techniques representing Charles the Military Man, Charles the Conservationist and Charles the Artist, and crochet beautiful panels representing the Crown Jewels and Coronation Robe.

The Crochet Along began in March 2023. To get started, you’ll need 13 balls of Hayfield Bonus DK plus a 4mm and 3.5mm crochet hook.

- 2 x Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK - Frost Blue (608) ~ 100g

- 1 x Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK - Cornflower (610) ~ 100g

- 1 x Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK - Sky Marl (591) ~ 100g

- 1 x Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK - Grass Green (825) ~ 100g

- 1 x Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK - Lime (882) ~ 100g

- 1 x Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK - Fields of Gold (666) ~ 100g

- 1 x Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK - Ladybird (698) ~ 100g

The finished size of this blanket is 140cm x 140cm. There is no printed pattern for this yarn pack, you can find the pattern on the Sirdar website here. The yarn pack contains the Sirdar label for the coronation.

Please also note: Pack quantities are given for the project when worked to the tension stated in the pattern.  If a different hook is used, or your tension differs from the designer’s, additional yarn may be required.
