Perfect for more complex and delicated embroidery, Hemline's Fabric Stabiliser is a temporary backing for more delicate fabrics that adds strength and prevents puckering and stretching. A lightweight, soft plastic material, this water soluble stabiliser rinses off in cool water. Please make sure you wash your fabric before adding stabiliser and starting embroidery to allow for shrinkage.

• Place a layer underneath fabrics in a hoop when machine embroidering OR
• Place a layer on top of pile fabrics in a hoop when working machine embroidery.
• Carefully cut away any excess stabiliser, then gently rinse the project in cool water to wash away the rest.

• To retain some shape in a lacy project, rinse a little, leaving some stabiliser residue in the finished project to help with shaping.

• Create your own motifs by placing 2-3 layers of stabiliser in your hoop and stitching your design, filling in all areas. Remove the embroidery from the hoop and rinse in cool water.
