An exceptional cotton and polyester blend, this versatile wadding/batting is often the preferred choice for beginners and practiced crafters alike. With all the softness and breathability of cotton, the Hobbs Heirloom Premium Cotton Blend wadding/batting is much lighter than its 100% cotton counterpart, and has added durability thanks to the polyester content.

Hobbs Heirloom Premium Cotton Blend wadding/batting in black is highly recommended for quilts made with black or dark-coloured fabrics. Made using colour-fast, dyed cotton fibres, your item will be machine-washable once made up, with no worry about the black dye in the cotton bleeding.

We do not recommend machine washing your wadding before use. If you wish to avoid the vintage-style puckering of your fabric, you may be able to very gently hand wash your wadding, but please bear in mind that this can stretch out the fibres and cause areas of uneven thickness. Many people prefer the wrinkled look as it gives your project a more antique feel!
